College Students Working Online

Are you a college student that has all the money you need to continue your studies?  Or do you fall in the category of the ones who need help?

The Problem

Most college students, at one time or another, need some extra cash.  The truth is that most are broke nearly all the time.

I know it isn’t easy being in collage away from home.  Basically you are on your own.  Or as I see it, you are in training to be on your own.   It’s a time for growing up into the person God made you to be.

You have to learn to budget your money to last.  Then something comes up and you have to spend more than was in your budget.  So you have to ask Mom and Dad for more money.

Are you getting tired of the Ramen Noodle for every meal?  Would you like to have a steak and baked potato now and again?

You need to be aware that you can work online and can have an income and become an independent person. Well read on for the answers to your problem.

The Alternative

Fortunately I have an alternative for that situation. You have the opportunity of working online as a full time or part-time worker and still go to college.  And not have to bother Mom and Dad for more cash.

There are several online jobs that are available to college students. Such as:

Taking Surveys

Taking surveys doesn’t sound like very much fun, but you are just paid to give your opinion of a product or service.    Then people use this information to know if a product or service is worth their time and money to pursue. There are no skills needed.  And you get paid!

Selling On eBay or Craigslist

I’m sure you have things around the house that you don’t use anymore (old stereos, TVs for collectors, even jewelry, but be careful what you advertise on Craigslist).  If you have brand name clothes that don’t fit.  Bicycles, guitars and all sorts of items you don’t use.  This can be some quick money.

Write an eBook

If you are passionate or knowledgeable about a particular subject or object, write an eBook about it.  Who knows it may even go viral.  That would be great!

Open Your Own Online Store

This is possible with Amazon.  Gather together some items that you want to sell,  get them from Amazon and make sales.  You get the commissions from the sales.

Photography

This can earn money if you are good with a camera or cell phone.  There are sites that buy photos to keep in their stock.  When one of your pictures sell, you get a commission.  And if a company decides to use your photo in their daily advertisement…..  Walla you’re commissions go up.

Then there’s always my favorite job of all… Affiliate Marketing!

The number one affiliate marketing program, in my opinion is Wealthy Affiliate.  This is not a get rich quick scheme, but with dedication and determination (really it’s not hard) you can earn as much money as you set your goals to earn.

Wealthy Affiliate has 2 options.  The first option costs you nothing.  That’s right $0 dollars.  It’s the Starter Membership.  This is a try before you buy plan.  You get 2 free websites and hosting.  These are not cookie cutter websites, you build them yourself with the aid of SiteRubix and WordPress.  Which comes free with Wealthy Affiliate.

You can build a good looking website in less than 30 seconds. Click here to watch a video.

With the Starter Membership you get access to discussions and classrooms that teach you step by step how to succeed in the field of affiliate marketing.  You are allowed access for a limited time.

After that time it is up, you can still continue on with your website until you are ready to upgrade.  That’s when you have the option to upgrade to Premium, this is the only upgrade. And it only costs $49/per month.

To join with the Starter Membership for $0 dollars. If you want to try before you buy, please click here.

  1. So glad things haven’t changed. There was no internet when I first went to college (well, at least not one that was publicly accessible). And yet, I was living off that same Ramen noodle menu. 😀 I think those things are a right of passage.
Really enjoyed your article here, some great ideas and I think it will be helpful for a lot of people. There’s a lot of great opportunities for college students today, in fact, I plan on helping my kids get started online long before college and instill that entrepreneurial mindset.
Thanks Nita, I look forward to reading more of what you have here.
